I have an old presario 6330us, and I want to upgrade the processor. The motherboard is a P4G533LA motherboard, with a Pentium 4 2.0ghz 400Mhz FSB and 512K cache. I want to go for a 208Ghz CPU but there are a lot of them. I'm not sure which ones are compatible with the mobo. Please help!
Mobo: P4G533LA made bu Asus
Chip-set: i85GL

The info I can find on that motherboard shows that it maxes out at 400 Mhz FSB and the highest listed supported CPU is the 2.5 GHz Intel Pentium 4.
Price vs. performance just doesn't add up on that upgrade in my opinion since you are already running a 400Mhz FSB 2.0 Ghz P4 |
