My reading of the other post is different. I believe better questions would be:
"Should I contribute to the community in ways other than buying?"
or
"Should I stop stepping at the front of the line each and every time?" |

I think the language barrier is getting in the way of these discussions |

Hey... looks like I caused some serious upset.
Sorry to all concerned.
I still stick by my reasons, but regret that it got this far.
So from now on, I personally will not offer any items for sale in For Sale topic, only on eBay; it's the most fair way. Like I said previously, I will offer a discount to CPU-World members. |

BTW - I voted 'no'... you shouldn't stop collecting.
| Quote: | | If you can't compete - invent a law! The only one important thing to remember is that you should be on the winning side. |
NOT true. This decision was to benefit 99% of members; not myself. I am not like that. Sure, I was annoyed a few times (but I bid on eBay... so I'm used to it), but after a while I thought 'hey... this sucks for other people too; nobody else gets a chance'.
So all of you who thought that this rule was to benefit myself are TOTALLY wrong. I never put myself first. |

Hi,To this day I can not actually bring anything to the forum.
The only time I thought it might interest someone I put a post
http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13120&highlight=french
In a forum there are always those who give and those who receive.
I am among those who received but one day it can change
Let me close as donutty has said
Pretend that this never happend
Thanks at all members
Best regards

What makes you think you have nothing to contribute? I say that because there are so many aspects of our great hobby that if you are interested in collecting chips information will come up in your hunt for chips that you can share.
I don't have near the knowledge or time that some of the members here have but I contribute in my own way or I like to think I do. |

| Yes, I saw you have an interesting topic on core memory. I have a large military core memory pack (2 planes of core memory and then 2 more of control circuit) if you want to see it. TBH, I would sell it to anyone who collects this sort of thing, because it is not what I collect but I saved it because it's very interesting. |

Dear Pascal,
I never bought cpus from any reknown user here (just say the good names that pop-up every day in the sale section). Even if you gave up doing so, it wouldn't change much for them, unless you did some 1000+€ a month.
I never actively contribute to technical discussions as I'm not an engineer or have thechincal knowledge required to sharpen a thread by my interventions.
I just habg here to learn, started to build my collection and needed to find a reference of cpus. Overtime I got rewarded by a huge amount of data discussed and consolidated my own overall view of the cpu paramount.
The few times I bought from other users didn't really count to me. My pleasure is to find the right occasion at the right time. If I wanted to boost my collection by only buying here it wouldn't be fun anymore to me, as my $$ for buys is limited (scarce at the moment).
Just do what makes you happy. If you think that limiting new users' rights of purchase is bad, you just don't buy, and sellers will relent eventually.
Enfin, penses-y. |
