Hi
I recently got a Toshiba NB200 netbook which has the Intel Atom N270 proccy.
In task manager it shows 2 graphs for the cpu as it has 2 threads.
Toshiba also claim the memory speed is 800Mhz but CPUz claims it is 400MHz max.
What I'd like to know is this:
1) Whats the difference between cores and threads? - I know cores are effectively processors but this threads thing confuses me.
2) Is this memory speed thing correct? Is the 800MHz they claim correct as there are 2 threads or have they blundered? CPUz clearly states the 400MHz is a maximum so I didn't think 2 threads could double this?
I need to know as they also claim it has a 56k modem built in too and it doesn't!
Thanks for your help |
