i found from bankrupt electronic store this chips with other goodies too..

any idea what is?
i find something similar from fairchild with part 9344 only..
any relation???

512 x 8 PROM's

Same as Intel 3624 and Signetics 82S141

Can you remove the top from one to expose the die?
I bet it's sitting in a pretty Gold center! Surprised

btw i open one and sure is rom.....
nothing special exept a thin gold film under the chip....

Fairchild 9344 = 4 bit by 2 bit full multiplier

Doubly confusing, since Fairchild used to put 2 digits after the part number for process/temp range:



So the 9344 (multiplier) would have, for instance, 934428 on the package. But at some point they dropped the extra digits, and re-numbered their memories 934xx:




Which is why data books will always trump Google...
