Every K6-2 in my collection has 3.3V I/O.

This chip was made by ghosts at the factory?

What about K6-300AFR with 3.45V I/O? Common? I don't have any K6s so I'm no expert in this matter

I have K6/300AFR and K6/300ADZ with 3.3V or with 3.45V I/O

I do not know why there are two types.

With differences like this, I think you'll find that the earlier chip is the 3.45 and the later chip is the 3.3. Some of the earlier versions of the fastest K6 and K6-2 chips at the time were 'factory overclocks' and a few months later when the manufactoring ability improved they no longer needed the extra voltage.
This is the case with the K6-2 400AHZ (factory overclock) and the K6-2 400AFR later version.

ooops, I misread the list. I do not have a K6/300ADZ with 3.3V I/O.

Chook, what you say makes sense. Unfortunately, I only have 4 relevant cpus, so not many to prove or disprove the point:
K6/300AFR 9836 3.45V
K6/300AFR 9840 3.3V
K6/300AFR 9841 3.45V
K6/300ADZ 9839 3.45V

I remember the factory overclocks, in reviews and pc magazines they stated that those cpus couldn't be pushed more, compared to intel cpus.

Thanks for this memory.

I have K6/300ADZ 3.45V I/O, 3.45V I/Ois not strange.

But 2.2V I/O is strange, fake or not?

My guess is fake.

Debs is expert on this topic; maybe she will see this and offer an opinion.

I would also say fake.
Additionally there is something wrong with the
zero in the datecode... and one strange zero in "C0RE"

"M" in AMD looks really strange

IMO it's a fake, as they are nominally 3.3V I/O and should work in the range 3.135V - 3.6V. These details originaly came from AMD manuals (although I can't at the moment tell you which documents, but any that refer to the 400AFR should say the same).
