Hello!
I have older Laptop Dell Inspiron 6400 with CoreDuo T2250 CPU (Model No.: PP20L, Service Tag: F2SZT2J). I want replace T2250 CPU with Core2Duo CPU but I'm confused about socket type and which CPU would fit in it.
CPU-Z give me this info:
Motherboard: 0XD720
Current CPU: Core Duo T2250
Socket: 479 mPGA
Chipset: Intel i945PM rev. 03
BIOS: A17
Here is full CPU-Z report:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vf748nap8umtja5/INSPIRON_6400_T2250.htm
I don't understand why CPU-Z reports 479 mPGA socket for T2250, and on this site I found info that T2250 is Socket M / mPGA478MT?
At this moment I can buy two used CPUs in my country:
1. Intel Core2Duo T5600 (mPGA478B), which is socket M type, according to the seller.
2. Intel Core2Duo T5750. I don't have exact info but according to this site, T5750 is socket P type CPU.
Can you tell me which of this two CPUs would fit in to, if any?

Socket 479 can accept three different types of 478-pin PGA packages, that have slightly different pinouts. That is why this site uses Socket M and Socket names, so you know exactly what socket the CPU fits in. The T5750 is a socket P CPU, and it won't not work in your system. The T5600 would fit into your socket, but whether it will work or not depends on the chipset. Please check your chipset version, and then look for support info on the CPU-Upgrade website:
