Maybe on this subject was written.Anyway Which Socket 7 processor your opinions is fastest? Im interesting your personal opinion and experience about this, not internet bench tests.Do not be lazy, please share your memories and experiences

oh I did not even know there was a 570! Crap and all this time I thought I had the fastest K6 and so the search for ANOTHER CPU begins. |

Sure AMD K6-2+/III+ line was the fastest if you able to use it.
If classic socket 7 (66 bus, 2.8 V), then probably K6-300 for integer math
and Pentium MMX 233 for floating point. |

Looks like this mobo's lowest core voltage is 2.5V.
Too high for 2+/III+.
You can try e.g. K6-III/400AHX (would be 0.1V over spec) without adapter.
If you need to run "+" you need lower voltage, 2.0 or 2.2V.
Adapters have VRM on board for this reason.
Another problem is - most likely you'll need bios upgrade for any amd cpu with L2 cache on die. |
