I'd say extremely rare. Same as SX942 and SX943. I've never seen any photos of SX942, SX943 nor SX944 anywhere online.

The rare ones I have for gold top Pentium 90MHz are SX972, SX976 and SX921

If you find only Wtb lists when looking for an Sspec here then it means that it is really rare Lol
Looks like these are among the Sspecs you wonder if they actually exist...

Also,

Quote:
This part can only be used as a dual processor.

Interesting, why would Intel do this?
Are there other examples of such Cpus?

Thanks g0b.

This is very interesting and now I am wondering where is this originated from? Probably Intel sales catalog or datasheet?

I also wondering if anyone have even seen SX942 and SX943, or have one in their collection? Razz

Genna only adds specs from official documents or when photos are posted in the new sSpec thread, so it would seem this was in an official doc or on the Intel website.

The Dual processor only ones were interesting, this was before SMP so for a Dual system there was a primary and a secondary processor. The Primary processor maintained control of the system, some parts could do it, some not, the secondary did not have to have support for this, as it only new about itself in essence. This is why in a Dual Pentium system you cannot use dual overdrives but you can use a normal CPU as the primary, and a overdrive as the secondary, as Overdrives support for being the primary was removed

This info later got added to the back of CPUs
VMU SSS etc

More info:
1. V - Voltage settings
a. S - Standard voltage
b. V - VRE voltage

2. M - Timings
a. M - Minimum valid MD timings
b. S - Minimum valid standard timings

3. U - Dual processor capability
a. U - Untested for dual processors, but tested for UP and MP
b. S - Tested for DP, UP, and MP
