The question below was posted as a comment here: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K7/AMD-Duron%201800%20-%20DHD1800DLV1C.html. Comments section is not generally for questions, so I'm reposting it here.

Here are its specs.
FF: ATX
Chipset: Sis735
VGA/Audio: no/yes
modem/lan: no/yes
DIMM/DDR: 2/2
ISA/PCI/AGP/AMRI: 0/5/1/1
So my question is will my mainboard support the AMD Duron 1800?

As far as I can tell the motherboard supports Duron 1800. You may need to update the BIOS - old BIOSes didn't support Durons 1400 - 1800. By the way, this board also supports Athlon XPs up to 2600+, you'll get greater performance boost if you upgrade to Athlon XP 2400+ or 2600+.

Agree with Gennadiy but I think Duron 1800 is better variant because It is 50% cheaper than Athlon and easily goes on this board to 2 Ghz and higher without much rise temp. Duron 2000 ~ Athlon XP 2400 for about 50 USD. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

Athlon XP 2400+ right now is about $50 - $60 on eBay, shipping included. Duron 1800 is about $30 - $40.
