Hi i have 2 ibm chips - dont know anything about them. 1st chip i found on some mobo - it leads to the integrated graphic card - so i think this could be ramdac or vga? It has strange kind of passive cooler - small cylinder.
2nd is with nice painting - litle strange for ibm  . Its from notebook, on other side of pcb was graphic chip - i've seen only part of pcb.

It's a RAMDAC for IBM XGA-2 display adapter.

Aaargh so i left display adapter on that board. 
I've started collecting vga chips (everyone collecting CPU's, i've never seen page about vga's)  this one looked like vga.
By the way - don't you know boys name of 1st graphic card? can't find it - 1st cpu is well known, but 1st x86 graphic or 1st ever graphic chip? |

I've never seen any video chip collection page, not only vga...

First x86 graphic card was probalbly monochrome (MDA) card. According to this page http://www.machine-room.org/computers/268/technical.html it used Motorola 6845 CRT controller.
