Intel 486SX - why is it remarked?

Hi guys.
I've got this chip - an A80486SX-20. It is remarked to something I can't understand. Why would it be done? Any suggestions?

Looks lot like an IBM FRU number. Is it 03G9565 ?

Exactly. But what is an FRU number?
