Reasonably sure. It "fits" along with the other items that I received in the same group of IC's.
I suspect the logo may be a from a company named CMI (Computer Microtechnology, Inc.). I found a reference in a technical paper regarding LSI memories.
"This circuit is used in most of the 256-bit decoded MOS RAM'S manufactured by Intel, lntersil and Computer Microtechnology." And, Computer Microtechnology Inc. was involved with AMS
(Advanced Memory Systems) and was eventually bought out by AMS in 1973.

there was an same 1101 sample chip.....
i think if u have some more of this u must sacrafise one ..to see if inside is really ram or some ttl logic of the early 70's...
if this is real ram..is very very uniq-important find....

Thanks for the reference. I think the logo could be CMI. Chiefish's picture is more clear. I have others looking into this as well.

Maybe I'll have to do that. Have one here that has bad corrosion from the black foam it was stored in.

should be made on 10micron so should not be too hard to see die features and markings.

yes even witha nicemagnify glass or a poor microscpe..... the intergration in 1971 wiil be rediculus for the today standards Smile

i think a well cutting razor will do the job without mutant the die core from the heavy temp...is nt big chip like 486..ect......
try something soft......evena cuting tool for wires do the job i have open 10's ic like this with this way...
