|
|
I have a doubt about the identification of Power 7 CPUs
looking to pins count
Power6 has -3 contacts (picture 1)
Power7 -4 contacts (picture 2)
.. but which Power is with only -2 contacts? (picture 3)
they are sold like Power7, may be Power7+ ?
or, Power7 has -2 and Power7+ has -4 contacts ?
I made some reserch but didn't find any usefull information and IBM documents didn't help. |

I found finally some information on this processor
it's a Power8 "Turismo", a single-chip 10/12-core processor
https://blog.rackspace.com/openpower-open-compute-barreleye
a variant with two six-core chips (or more) it's called "Murano" (Picture 4) |
