Here is the earliest issue I have in my collection of the Intel Publication. This is the cover of the May/June 1980 Intel Preview Special Issue: 16-Bit Solutions. I will post each section for the each part of the publication as I progress.

Interesting that the 8089 I/O Processor was more that twice the price of the 8086 CPU

I guess it was a production numbers game....ie more cpu's produced than I/O Processors & fpu's

| According to the Intel's Defining Intel: 25 Years/25 Events shows that the Preview publication started in June 1978. Then, they renamed as Solution publication in 1981. Eventually, they renamed as Microcomputer Solutions publication in 1987. Finally, they renamed as Intel Solution publication in 1993. | I picked up March/April 1979 Intel Preview publication and found an annoucement on the new Intel 8088 processor. I will post scanned image later on, but I would like to know how early did Intel announced this processor? |
