All those actual contributions are really funny.
Here's another one.
Many times I read here on the forum about the time when Intel started date codes.
Let's see what how far we can go back in Intels date code history.

As I came across this idea right now at work I can't throw in my own oldest one.
And as I am a big fan of pictures: please post pictures:-)

Ranking so far:

7213 - Chiefish
7213 - alexander
7215 - magictom
7217 - wepwawet
7249 - Neon_WA
7307 - ahia123
7316 - naked1300
7334 - gmanbc
7338 - Borris70
7350 - Kpt_future
7407 - Johnorun

My oldest Intel chip for now is my C1702A CS that I bought from Chipcollector. It's only 7710, and I don't have a picture of the underside (with the datecode), but here is a scan of the top...

yeeeaah. You're absolutely right.
I think my collection is absolutely worth a website but I am ...
hm, what am I?
Lazy?
Hard working?
Father of two and they occupate most of my time.

I am scanning my chips the last weeks (eg. for cpu picture library) and I hope that somewhen I get it done.

My website is such a bad thing, it's embarrassing.

I take your post as a friendly kick in my ... to go ahead with this:-)

LOL

I'm not sure who youw ere replying to, I don't see a comment about your lack of a website (and as neither Sammy nor I have our collections online yet we aren't likely to say much about it).

I enjoy all these competitive threads, I actually find some of them quite informative (both about the chips and about some of the folk who respond to the threads). Some of us (including me!!!) can be so serious it's good to ahve light-hearted threads Smile

Intels first product was the 1101 OR the 3101, I am not sure as on many websites both opinions are present.
In general it was a PAM chip, either the one or the other.
But the first here had no date codes so here we can't find a proof.

I only know 1101 chips to exist with the old Intel logo or the vertical big "i" but no 3101 but also this is not necessary a proof for the 1101 to be older.

then this was a freudian misunderstanding - hopefully that idiom works in english.
I understood you as: post YOUR chips - what normally happens on the own website. And as a second - to me.

what did you mean then (I see my english is far away from being perfect. I think this forum does a gooood training to me:-)

Actually my initial reply was a joke, it was a play on words (with post meaning two different things). You asked people to post pictures, so I asked for them to post the actual chips (ie in the mail) to me Smile I can verify that it's not just a photoshop image if I have the actual chips Smile
