Frank's Tube Archive is a good staring point..
Here is page:
http://frank.pocnet.net/sheets8.html
Here is datasheet:
http://frank.pocnet.net/sheets/049/8/829B.pdf
Dont start collecting tubes. All the good stuff really is gone and what is left is a lot of shit. They also take up way too much space, easy to break and some contain some nasty shit you really dont want on your wank hand. |

Thanks JAC. I have found datasheet for RCA 829B. Are they exactly the same? What do you think, is that tube good enough for some decent 30-40W amplifier? ( I always have some ideas/plans... but always missing the time )
After chips, boards, calculators... no, I do not have intention to collect tubes but from time to time some of them appear here or there... and I always like to see this old things, to check how they work, to find out where are they from... etc
Regarding "nasty shit" don't worry, I have basic chemistry knowledge and some experience playing around and refining some PM's... Anyway, thanks for advice. |

WOW! How cool they are. Especially those big/old one on your first and last photo.
If you don't have this 829B, I will give you one if you want, I have two of them. |

Hello,
very nice collection.
Vintage X-ray tubes are quite impressive.
A friend of mine, who worked for years in the Hospital of my town (Udine) as a gastro-enterologist, has a nice and large collection of these tubes (more than 40). A very specialized collection.
