I got today some vacuum tubes, Gammatron dual beam power tetrode, Heintz and Kaufman 829B. I don't know almost anything about them and quick search gave me some interesting documents, for example;
http://books.google.com/books?id=VRz9LfC85pYC&pg=PA24&lpg=PA24&dq=%22Heintz+and+Kaufman%22&source=bl&ots=2AwR8tU9dD&sig=hU2AeK4WNwk2B5RkXzvdvNm741c&hl=en&ei=cXh_TOn7JYfGswbc_YTlDw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CBoQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=%22Heintz%20and%20Kaufman%22&f=false
... and some other... but I can not find specification for this tubes.

I have found specifications for RCA 829B but I am not sure if they are exactly the same?

Does anyone collect this tubes and, does anyone know where I should look for datasheet?

BTW. Company was closed 1953.

Thanks in advance.

Frank's Tube Archive is a good staring point..

Here is page:

Here is datasheet:

Dont start collecting tubes. All the good stuff really is gone and what is left is a lot of shit. They also take up way too much space, easy to break and some contain some nasty shit you really dont want on your wank hand.

Thanks JAC. I have found datasheet for RCA 829B. Are they exactly the same? What do you think, is that tube good enough for some decent 30-40W amplifier? ( Smile I always have some ideas/plans... but always missing the time Sad )

After chips, boards, calculators... no, I do not have intention to collect tubes Smile but from time to time some of them appear here or there... and I always like to see this old things, to check how they work, to find out where are they from... etc

Regarding "nasty shit" Smile don't worry, I have basic chemistry knowledge and some experience playing around and refining some PM's... Anyway, thanks for advice.

Shocked WOW! How cool they are. Especially those big/old one on your first and last photo.
If you don't have this 829B, I will give you one if you want, I have two of them.

Hello,
very nice collection.
Vintage X-ray tubes are quite impressive.
A friend of mine, who worked for years in the Hospital of my town (Udine) as a gastro-enterologist, has a nice and large collection of these tubes (more than 40). A very specialized collection.
