I think Power7 was already the fastest processor!
Looks like at IBM they have big fun topping themselves Wink

Awesome, somebody finally broke the 5 GHz barrier. It seems ppl have been talking about it for a decade.

And I find it cool that IBM is still using the MCM concept ...

IBM's press release has more info than that:

IBM has a redbook titled "IBM zEnterprise System Technical Guide". This one has a lot of detailed information about the CPU and MCM.
