Title says all, for the third time (and definitively last) ebayer acpsurplus, and related befreema/newoldpc sent me the wrong items
the first time I bought a NEC V20 with the Zilog writing on it, but received a normal V20 without writings
the second time I bought a WD microengine chip with the writing Microengine on it, but received a chip without the writing (note, on the auction there was a picture with the chip with the writing)
this time I bought a Thomson EF68B00P and received a Hitachi HD468B00P
this is not a problem for the cost (very low) but no response at my mails so I must start a Paypal complain
and I must advise also all the collector this seller is unreliable!!

I've had trouble contacting him in the past via ebay, but usually reply to his direct e-mail - PM sent.

And while I agree these issues are sloppy, they are honest and fix them.

acpsurplus is O.K., you have to realise he is selling A LOT OF STUFF.. and probably well known to the chip buyers here. It doesnt take a genius to figure out the seller is not an expert on chips ( see some of the prices Rolling Eyes ) and the picture is only representative of a batch he is selling, I think he says something to that effect in his listings.

JAC, I don't agree that it is ok. Sellers are responsible for their shop and their clients satisfaction. If seller can't do it right there are lot of other thing to do in your life. He doesn't need to know what he sells well but he can describe and send what it is described...

I have bought a few chips from him and he also got one wrong, but I called him on the telephone and we took care of it, I didnt mind once, but if it happened 3 times I would hesitate buying again.

Lots of sellers use a single picture for a multiple item sale.

Sorry to hear that. You have to write to acpsurplus about that you want exactly same chips as on picture in auction. I have had good communication with him and for two deals no problems.

about the Microengine chips, there was some auctions with them with different pictures, was my care choose the auction with the chips with writings and not only with the part number
about my last purchase, there wasn't a picture I bought it based on the part number

I have had the same problem the last 3 times also. Before that eveything was great. One reply was they couldn`t find the chip that was in the auction so sent a different one. I think there are too many people involved which can lead to disorganization. They usually send me something for free in the next order to try and make up for it.

Back in June I bought 8 cpus from them, but they couldn't find 2 so refunded. I thought it was pretty poor listing items you don't have or can't find.

In a few of their listings the pics don't match the description. Whenever I spot one I point it out to them and they usually fix the listing and send a reply thanking me.

I usually ask before I buy if the item / description is what I'll be getting. I've never had any problems with all the items I've purchased from them (fingers crossed). Hopefully it stays that way.
