Too short, no chance for scratching,
too long, they break - even though I have hard fingernails women dream of - but enough intimate details;-)

The good thing using your nails is you will never scratch your chips.

Funny stuff we're talking about...

i have a little container of rubbing alcohol, i usually just drop the chip in there so its submerged and let it soak for a day or two, then i use a towel to rub it off once the sticker is soaked and the glue is broken down a bit

on the top, anyhow.. on the bottom i usually use a towel but i wrap it around a pen or something so i dont bend the pins

Nice idea! but I normally can't wait for so long time to see what's really printed on the chip, I'm eager to see all of it immediately and scratch it with all kinds of methods, like a cat, haha Laughing
anyway, to make the sticker wet is the first step for me. icon_tetter

if youre impatient, boiling the chip in hot water would probably achieve the same effect quicker. ive done this with a few chips and havent damaged them. id only recommend it for ceramic ones tho, not plastics
