| I have a V7M400M-RZ motherboard and want to upgrade my CPU. Can anyone advise the best CPU unit my board supports please. I have upgraded RAM to 2 gig and that works fine but keep getting high CPU usage message/ I am hoping that upgrading wil cure this problem |

From that list, the AthlonXP 3200+ with Barton core and FSB 400 is your best upgrade. See AXDA3200DKV4E. Don't get the AXDA3200DKV4D as, although the PR rating is the same and max listed frequency is higher, it has a slower FSB for the same performance and is not in the list. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Take care - N/A in that list means "not supported", so 400MHz FSB chips are not supported by the 7VM400M-RZ.
The Max CPU FSB is 333MHz.
Cheers,
Jon. |

Thanks for pointing that out. That makes the best upgrade the AXDA3000DKV4D. The last one for sale here was over 6 months ago, so I guess eBay is going to be the OPs friend here _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
