Hi all,

I have one Tandem chip. Does anyone know what it is?

It does not look like the Tandem cpu. Will it be the supporting chip?

Thank for your infomation in advance.

Seeing Tandem was using MIPS processors & support processors.. i would try and match pinout to one of them

guessing probably R4400 family by date code

I also notice that Tandem CPU has two "V" on the left upper corner on front and right upper corner on back. I guess V= VLSI.

This chip have the letter "H" on both side. I don't know what it means.

Hello,
it's a system bus controller for a Tandem Himalaya Nonstop server (R4400 fault tolerant machine).
Manufactured by AMD - likely a gate array or something similar.
