Anyone know about this chip?
Is it a CPU? or a GPU?
Thanks. _________________ Yan |

Thanks for your information.
So LSI chip with "L1A" is a GPU. _________________ Yan |

This LSI chip was on Compaq SCSI controllers, so I doubt it's a GPU. It's probably a SCSI controller chip.

Right, but if a SCSI controller has only one big L1A9162 chip, it is logical to assume that the chip performs functions of a SCSI controller chip.
