I have my first C4004 on a nice board. Being a novice can anyone tell me how to decode what is on the lid? Obviously the I logo and C4004 on a nice gold lid. Number underneath is K6826
The C4004 is in a socket and I tried to pry it a little and it seems it will come out of socket easily if I need to see the underneath. _________________ best rgds.

It won't have date code on the bottom, but will probably be marked Malaysia for country of manufacture.
K6826 would of been made late 3rd / early 4th quarter of 1974 _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

Congrats! Some pics would be welcome so we could see the new Baby.
Be careful when prying out such a costly chip from the socket. You don't want to break a leg. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

It is marked as "Mexico" Manufacturer - is that unusual? I could not resist popping it out of the socket for a quick peek. _________________ best rgds.
