I know that colour from eloxated aluminum, often used for window and door frames...
Maybe the same material here.
Is the cap metal or ceramic? |

I dont think so (by googleing extruded)
Seems like eloxated is not an english word then.
It is how you apply color to aluminium by using electricity i think. Heatsinks are often "eloxated".
The word eloxated is unfortunately not in your everyday dictionary! _________________ My collection: http://www.cpucollection.se :::::: http://www.chipdb.org Photos of chips you never knew existed. Now over 6000 different chips in the database. |

I'm probably way off here, but do you mean galvanised? Seems odd to me if it is, but hey - it'd protect the metal heat spreader and it's cheaper than gold _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I like the anodized colours, and also the different colours of the PCB materials ( its actually an ink layer ). Blue is my favourite. |

Thats easy. some of the Cyrixs are 'pink' tops as the one above is.
The way you class these different chips - One has the BOLD writing on the specs.
Check out the other thread on Cyrix printings. _________________ 4000+ chips.

Again with diferrent Cyrix's
I noticed in the "gold Cyrix MII 300GP" Large logo, that you(cpuswe) have a "V".
I have exact one but no "V" after the MII.
Whats up with that?
