I actually think the IBM is a better chip than the Cyrix, which is one reason why I think it is a bad fake (personal preference and all that...)

I have a Cyrix DX2-80 in PQFP. I tried acetone on it and
I couldn`t remove anything from the chip so far.
I might have to try something stronger.
