|
This one would get my vote. At least, this is, in my opinion, the most beautiful chip in my whole Intel CPU collection. I think it's comparable with the Sun STP2018TAB-50 in gshv's Odd Chip section... well.. maybe not but not far off.
Do you guys have other candidates in mind? _________________ My Intel CPU Museum: http://www.mynikko.com/CPU/

| I like yours better then gshv's, but I like lots of gold. These two chips are my prettiest. One is an hp para risc, the other is an IBM cache controler or some other support chip. |

For me most beautiful Intel's CPU is Pentium Pro. Specialy when cover cap is desoldered at back of CPU (picture from cpupages.com):
beautiful at two sides ... great chip _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

It is a DLP chip from TI, for VideoProjectors |
They are really cool. Look out for them on ebay. There was a seller in canada with a bunch a while back. |

After I paid much for my two SAMPLES I've now heared by a colleague that these DLPs were giveaways in many IT-conferences, eg. by DELL, the last year.
Can anyone confirm that? |

I cant confirm that, but mine are in a nice little pouch with gold printing on the side. There is a drawstring to pull the pouch closed. To me, it looks like a giveaway, so your story may be true! |
