| Has anyone seen this chip before in a finished or unfinished state? I suspect it may be related to some IDT cpus i have but by no means am i sure, i have never seen another one around like it yet. I put it next to a 386 for comparison of size, |

don't call it a flash prom (as thats another technology)
It is a EPROM (if covered in quartz, or a PROM, if a metal cap (they are the same die) _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Cool to know thanks , heh heh i thought maybe the caps were on them to prevent them being exposed to sunlight or somthing  |
