Hi to all,

i opened a new article on my website. i got a old microskope and i tried to
take some core pictures. what do you think about the photos?? Question Question

Looks great, i have scanned my chips at the highest res it goes and get some very nice shots of the cores as well. And when you zoom in with windows magnifier they look awsome.

That is a very nice microscope...Carl Zeiss!!

I just bought one at the local university surplus, I also bought one of those Intel microscopes for kids at a thrift store for 3 dollars with the idea of using it to check out chips. Apparently someone has taken the Intel microcope (which they no longer make) and has added better components. You can find it here

I worked for an institution, that works for a large proccesor-company... I had the chance to use their equipment and took some highres pictures of PPro and i486. If I remember correct it was a Leica microscope :]

nice pics, I tried this myself but my camera is really crappy (wait until christmas Wink).

It's a KC573PФ2 Eprom under the microscope I get a wonderful view, my camera doesn't have the capability to illustrate the view. Sad[/img]

also a nice pic. with the right camera it will be perfect. but it think your camera will be good enough. did you tried to zoom in with macro function?
if i don´t zoom in i have also the pictures like a hole Shocked

what kind of microscope do you have?

My camera is a HP photosmart 720 I bought it 2003, there is no Macro-mode Wink.

I tried it with highest optical zoom and the highest ISO. but the pictures doesn't become better...



I use a Bresser Biolam/LS microscope:

pretty old 2MP Nikon. Please don`t ask me what
the magnification was, I guess x100.
