Looks great, i have scanned my chips at the highest res it goes and get some very nice shots of the cores as well. And when you zoom in with windows magnifier they look awsome. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

That is a very nice microscope...Carl Zeiss!!
I just bought one at the local university surplus, I also bought one of those Intel microscopes for kids at a thrift store for 3 dollars with the idea of using it to check out chips. Apparently someone has taken the Intel microcope (which they no longer make) and has added better components. You can find it here

I worked for an institution, that works for a large proccesor-company... I had the chance to use their equipment and took some highres pictures of PPro and i486. If I remember correct it was a Leica microscope :] _________________ Frank. |

nice pics, I tried this myself but my camera is really crappy (wait until christmas ).
(You can click on the image)
It's a KC573PФ2 Eprom under the microscope I get a wonderful view, my camera doesn't have the capability to illustrate the view. [/img] _________________ I'm interested in all kinds of electronics especially the semiconductor industry of the former GDR.
