Hi
I dont know much about CPUs so i would need some help.
I searched this website and forums but couldnt find an answer.
Is this supposed to be like this? I have AMD Athlon XP 3000+ (AXDA3000DKV4D).
Windows, couple of games and some software are showing that the frequency of my CPU is 1.3 GHz, even though this website says that the rated frequency is supposed to be 2167 MHz. CPU specs: Specs
Is it normal?
My motherboard is GA-7VASFS. The manual for it is here (just in case): Manual |

Page 48 of your manual describes "Loading Optimized Defaults", and says the system will automatically detect and apply the proper settings. Have you tried this yet?? _________________ "Have you scanned the RAM timings for Operator's Headspace?? Problem solved!
First i tried your suggestion Cobracon. It didnt work and i started thinking about icemans suggestions. I was browsing the motherboard manual and came across the FSB switch. Since you suggested it could be because of that, i opened the PC and indeed it was in the wrong position (=ON). Now the system is showing the correct ~2.17 GHz. I cant believe its been in the wrong position for all of these years.
Thanks alot for help!
And by the way, does it affect the performance much? So far i havent noticed anything dramatical. It did boot fast though.
EDIT - It does affect the performance quite a bit! Games run without lag and load much faster! Stupid switch!
