No, it is I who should, and do apologize.
It is a psych ward thing.
I'm not cut out to be be cynical, am I?

As I stated, I now have 5 days before my return windows expires.
I' ve been reading the forum threads for 8 months.
Until now, I have never had a reason to join and approach the forum with a formidable situation.

I think the lesson here is just that simple.
I detected it yesterday.
We (as a whole) really don't solve these types of problems.
Throw it away and buy a new one.
I'm a tinker when it comes to computers is all.
I had it in my mind that over three forums, I was going to apply "a fixin'" on this thing.

OK.
I'm better now.
I couldn't help but to be side tracked from the topic.
You're grown up?
What age do you stop playing video games there?
I'm 48 and I'm going to log out and run one now.
Laser sword?

Qwerty, I wasn't speaking of you...

Some persons think that they are smarter than others, we have a good example here: asking for help and biting the hand at the same time.

Complete waste of time.

Solution: dude return the board and leave.

Don't worry - of course I understood that you weren't speaking of me. Very Happy

OK.
At return minus 4 days, I was instructed to be brief.
It seems meaningless sentences of humor offend, while attempts at a genuine apology have no value.

Chiefish, your suggestion was on.
Two of the drives were either corrupt, or corrupted during the testing.
Spinrite doesn't like the drives so they'll be eliminated for now.

Ran PC-Check, a PC Geeksquad software from a colleague at BestBuy.
The summary shows a failed CPU stress test, and a failed Internal Cache
test.
Neon, I think your comment about yanking the HDDs may have been on also.

Pursuing these next.
A final apology to the members.

Downloaded Iso's MultiBoot diag.
After patting myself on the back for resourcefulness of getting the GeekSquad diag, my bubble got busted as I found the diag on Iso's MultiBoot CD.

Oh well.

Can't help but to think that there is something I missed.
Vezhlys, your posts had me go back and recheck again.
Good thing, because the PC-Diag prog's summary has changed from the last scan.

Still one HDD.
Removed and reinstalled the partition.
HDD passes all tests - so far.

Focusing on the mpu and usb ports.

Without establishing any sort of dialog, let me say that the whole 'Geek Squad' scam @ BestBuy is a joke. As a group, they couldn't find their collective rearend with both hands. icon_dizzy

But thanks..
I got myself in trouble here so the input is most appreciated.

Do I detect a wee bit of attitude and arrogance from the OP?

I surely hope not as this forum is full of some of the most helpfull and tolerant people I've personally found on this thing we call The World Wide Web.

If you are sincerely looking for help, these people will do what they can for you but, I feel respect is the least you can give them return.
