I think the database was down, and a script, that updates main index files for both sites, somehow replaced index files with blank files. I fixed it and will make sure that doesn't happen again.

Thanks guys for advice, I decided to upgrade to Pentium II. It has II in the name, so it should twice as fast as Pentium, right? I also heard it has super secret MMX instructions which will make Internet faster.
On a serious note, the problems this morning were not related to the database, and were caused by insufficient disk space. I have no idea how it could happen because I have 80GB free in my filesystem... Does anybody know if the server was down only for short time, or for two hours (from 5:18 am to 7:25 am) ?

I've tried to enter the forum several times in this period,
it was down for more than a hour, may be around two hours. |

I know . I upgraded mysql server from 4.1.something to 5.0.x and this, unfortunately, caused some problems. I had to recompile PHP to make it work with new mysql server, and then had strange problem with phpBB not been able to connect to the database even though other php scripts (myphpadmin) could do it just fine. I think it's fixed now.
