I do 'collect' 74 series, but only to use in little projects. Ie. if they are socketed on a board, I take them. Otherwise, unless they are quite hard to find or really old (< 1970) then bye bye!

How many SN74Ls does it take to stop a .50 BMG?

Or how many to stop a sling shot marble?

Do you think anyone has ever made a suit of armor from linked ICs?

I don't know where one would wear it, but it would look cool.

I have about 20 pounds of chips in a box at home i would be willing to give someone if they want to make a suit of armour out of them to test, the only catch is you have to video yourself getting hit with a bullet in it and post it up here ....... thats if you live thru it. Very Happy Oh and it could be a small caliber bullet too Wink
