I remember someone saying they collected or going to collect 74Ls, but i cant find the thread.
I have a few boards where all the chips are socketed. Let me know whoever it is _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world:

| I do 'collect' 74 series, but only to use in little projects. Ie. if they are socketed on a board, I take them. Otherwise, unless they are quite hard to find or really old (< 1970) then bye bye! |

| Nah, it's OK - I don't buy them... I just save them if I have them for 'just in case'. |

How many SN74Ls does it take to stop a .50 BMG?
Or how many to stop a sling shot marble? |

Do you think anyone has ever made a suit of armor from linked ICs?
I don't know where one would wear it, but it would look cool. |

I have about 20 pounds of chips in a box at home i would be willing to give someone if they want to make a suit of armour out of them to test, the only catch is you have to video yourself getting hit with a bullet in it and post it up here ....... thats if you live thru it. Oh and it could be a small caliber bullet too _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |
