Truth is that it's even possible that some other company made what we now consider to be a microprocessor, but didn't realise it.

It seems that FF's statement and the single chip proof described in that document beats the 4004 out.
lol,
I am sure this will not have a strong effect on 4004 prices on ebay but maybe on AL1's _________________ You may use the photos I have posted here under CC BY-NC-SA license. |

As mentioned in another thread here is just intel's 8008 part of the discussion but i guess this is due to the fact that this 8008 was TI's competitor at that time.

Thanks for posting this thread, Michael!
It really educated me on early CPU history.
Now. if I could just find a set of those Four-Phase chips....hmm.. _________________ My collection list (growing) http://johnorun.x86-guide.com/en/collection.html |

They are around some , just keep youre eyes open for them, I am the one who gave them to Kosmo and I have seen them several times for sale on Ebay. Just be patient. _________________ "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." A.E. |

The thing that you should remember is that they were produced only for Four-phase, so unlike 4004 and 8008s, which were sold to other companies, very few stockists will have them. Could they be the new C4004 tray trace ? |
