I know that colour from eloxated aluminum, often used for window and door frames...

Maybe the same material here.
Is the cap metal or ceramic?

I dont think so (by googleing extruded)

Seems like eloxated is not an english word then.

It is how you apply color to aluminium by using electricity i think. Heatsinks are often "eloxated".

The word eloxated is unfortunately not in your everyday dictionary! Wink

I'm probably way off here, but do you mean galvanised? Seems odd to me if it is, but hey - it'd protect the metal heat spreader and it's cheaper than gold Smile

Smile

I like the anodized colours, and also the different colours of the PCB materials ( its actually an ink layer ). Blue is my favourite.

Thats easy. some of the Cyrixs are 'pink' tops as the one above is.

The way you class these different chips - One has the BOLD writing on the specs.

Check out the other thread on Cyrix printings.

Again with diferrent Cyrix's Shocked
I noticed in the "gold Cyrix MII 300GP" Large logo, that you(cpuswe) have a "V".
I have exact one but no "V" after the MII.
Whats up with that?
