|
|
I wrote a small program that can used for identification of different CPU features (SSSx instructions, execute disable bit, Virtualization technology, etc):
http://www.cpu-world.com/Download/CPU_identification.html
The program does not identify features by itself, it sends the data to cpu-world.com's database, and then a script on our server does the identification. The identification page looks like this:
http://www.cpu-world.com/cgi-bin/CPUID.pl?CPUID=4
This week I will add a page that will display a list of all results that were made public. By default, all identification results are submitted as private, that is nobody but you can view them. There is also an option to delete identification data.

Does the program require an active internet connection?
For offline computers, is it possible to save the results to a file, and upload the result later? This would make it easy to add a lot of older processors. |

I will correct it.

The purpose is to display all features in a processor. CPU-Z and some other identification programs don't show this information. This will also be useful for the site - it will be possible to verify a list of features for some processors like the P7350.

It does right now.

This will be in the next version. It won't be this week as I'll be working on a page that will list all public identification results. I will do it next week.

As long as I only want to know what I could look up on a manufacturers website, it gives good nfo for my FX74 and E6750. Sadly it does not know I overclock when possible so the E6750 is not running @ 2.66GHz... _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Identification script and P750 page were corrected.
To anybody who used or is going to use the program: it'd be helpful if more people made the results public.

I made a mistake on the comments for this one:
http://www.cpu-world.com/cgi-bin/CPUID.pl?CPUID=103
The comments do not display on page, and I cannot find a way to edit them. The correct data should be:
AMD Sempron 3500+
SDA3500DIO3BW
LBBWE 0551EPBW 28127 |

I've made a few changes to the CPU identification program, the biggest ones are:
I will work on offline submission next week - I will need it for my testing too.

Hi Gennadiy,
I think tool is only valid for WinXP but not valid in Windows 2000. I tested three computers based on Windows 2000 and no one started an explorer to access your web site. Will you update your beta tool to a new version valid for Windows 2000?
Thanks
