By the way, I bought this off ebay, it was supposed to be a brand new T9300. I changed out my T7700 for it and got a "fatal error" message. I have a bad feeling the guy may have stooged me. Does "ES" stand for "Engineering Sample", meaning it's not a brand new retail version? If so, I will ask for my money back.

A Intel chip marked with ES combined with a s-spec starting with Q(4GA) does stand for Engineering Sample. A ES is a pre-production version made for testing and development and could have flaws or bugs that are corrected in the final version. I believe these are given by Intel to hardware developers, and are not for re-selling.
